eLife Solicits Feedback

This week, eLife is gathering feedback from the publishing community about the platforms we use to host and present journal content. Their aims are to further the discussion around user needs and drive future development and collaboration throughout the industry.

If you’re involved in a journal publishing program at any level, eLife wants to know what you think is working well for your current journal platform, and where improvements could be made. You can take the brief survey here by July 28. Please share forward, too.

DataSeer thrives, forges partnerships in technology development

DataSeer is an open source project that fills a major implementation gap in open data: identifying exactly which data researchers should share. Dr. Tim Vines is the founder of DataSeer and the project lead. The project is supported by Sloan Foundation funding and Coko’s Open Source mentoring.
