It is with mixed emotions that we announce Carly Strasser will be moving on from Coko this month. She joined Coko last December as the Director of Strategic Development and has helped align Coko’s communications with its mission and vision. We are thrilled for Carly, however, for having found her dream job in data strategy!
Carly will be moving to Seattle to become Director of Academic Alliances and Data Strategy at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In this role, she will develop partnerships with academic and non-profit research organizations in support of Hutch Data Commonwealth initiatives. We look forward to continuing our work with her on promoting open, transparent scholarly communication that helps accelerate research. We remain thoroughly committed to the same goals in open research and open science and will collaborate together for years to come.
Meanwhile, Coko will be continuing to build partnerships in the community around open source technology for scholarly publishing. For ongoing information on Coko and our progress, feel free to sign up to our newsletter or just check back on this blog regularly.
Good luck, Carly!!
