Global Coko team members and friends converged on Athens, Greece last week to share updates, participate in breakout workstreams, and enjoy eachother’s company. The meet convened team members from South Africa, New Zealand, Europe, and both coasts of North America, for three days of presentations, discussion, and significant fun. This is the third such meeting since Coko was founded in 2015.

“Meeting with the team in person was extremely helpful!,” said Alison McGonagle-O’Connell, Editoria Community Manager, who joined Coko in March. “Coko truly is a community. This means that rather than strategizing layers of lock-in, we’re enabling forward looking publishers to own their infrastructure, improve their workflows, and realize serious efficiencies by implementing powerful, yet beautifully designed, open source tools.”
